I think that Ed learns that his friends aren’t as understanding or
helpful as he would like them to be. Unlike Aubry, who actually cares about Ed
and tries to help him. He stops telling them things that happen to
him. I have somewhat of a relation to Ed
and his friends. I’ve asked my friends
for advise before and they all responded differently. Some of them actually
tried helping me an others were just like “ignore it.”
Ed’s relationship with his family is kind of really bad. His mom from
what we’ve learned treats him like complete crap. She’s always letting Ed down, and he’s always
so calm about it. Ed also didn’t really
have much to remember his dad by since he was an alcoholic. It’s completely different from how he sees his
friends. He sees his friends being apart
of his family. I feel like Ed’s
relationship with his mom will probably never evolve because she’s always
treated him like crap. His mom treats
him like the black sheep of his family.
I think the Doorman is a very important part of the story. He basically represents the figure of Ed’s dad. He’s Ed’s little friend that lives with him
and shares the bad times with him.
I agree with you on your relation of Eds friends and your friends because i have friends like that some care and the others just simply say to ignore it.
ReplyDeleteI agree especially on the Doorman and Ed's relationship connecting to Ed's dad and stuff because I hold personal objects also that to me represent my dad as well and, even though this might sound weird, i sometimes even talk to those objects expressing my feelings to them. they have been there for me through thick and thin and I consider them my friends also. GOOD JOB
