Robin Hood Project: Samantha Brake Hr-7th

Ms. Clark and me doing my good deed.

Well today I had been in my 4th hour, and i remembered I needed to get the flash drive from her so I could put a picture on it so she could print it off for me. As I went up the stairs and went over to her desk I looked over to her work station and it was a straight mess, and so I was like Ms. Clark can I clean that up for you, she was like yes you can. So after I was done cleaning it she said thank you so much, I said your welcome anytime just let me know if I can do anything for you and i'll do it. I honestly would help her out if she needed anything. So that's my good deed I will for sure do it again cause I loved helping her.

I am the Messenger Blog #1- Tony Garcia

1) What does Ed learn about his friends and how does this change how he relates to them? Do you see a correlation (connection) in how you see your friends       Ed finds out that his friend are not all that reliable? Because they don’t help him out when he needs them. His friends are only there for the good times and not the bad

    2) Describe Ed's family relationships and how they differ from his friends. Do you feel they will evolve? Why/Why not? Ed's family is very distant from him. Him and his mom don't really get along. She calls him dick head ed. he calls her some name back and their just distant. Him and his friends are always together and do a lot of things but sometimes his friend’s use him.

   3) Do you think the Doorman is an important element to the story? Explain.
Yes the doorman is very important. it shows that the doorman is important because when the two guys came in to beat up Ed they took really good care of the doorman. The other thing that makes him important is that when the lady gives the boy the card she said that its for the owner of the dog and not for a certain person.

Robin Hood Project

My job had a sign up list to volunteer to go help set up The breast cancer 5k Walk, We went early in the morning downtown and helped set up then we each got put in certain places. I got put towards the end of the walk so I could help cheer them on to finish up. This was a great experience because I got to see so many people taking time out of there day to go walk for a good cause <3

It was a Good Day...

This Saturday I had planned to take my little brother and my cousin to Paradise Park along with some kids from Niles group home. The kids from Niles group home could not attend; I took my cousins friend Brian (B-eazy). We had played in the foam pits for about 30 min it was okay but I don't know why the kids thought it was funny to try to shoot me in my unmentionables. After the foam pit I spent 50 dollars and we played endless games and me and Malachi had a "race" on the rock climbing wall. We ate pizza, ice cream and cake in real birthday fashion. We went to this place in the back but the kids weren't feeling it, they said it was for real little kids so we went to bumper cars until I got a headache. For the grand finale I bought everybody a drivers ticket for go-karts; the lady outside was really cool so she just let us ride go-karts as long as we wanted. I guess that was good karma!

I Am The Messenger Blog #1 - Jacob Ensley

Ed received an envelope in the mail containing a poker card, which was the ace of diamonds. The card had addresses and times written on it. He had no idea what any of it meant. He looked to his friends in hope for someone knowing something. But no one helped seemed to know anything so he asked if any of them sent it as some type of prank. Everyone gave excuses on why it wouldn't have been them but Audrey said it might have been her, all though they both knew it wasn't her. Through this he found out his friends don't really care about what he has going on aside from them. I can relate to this because I know some friends that won't care about what you have to say or want to do unless it involves benefits for them. Also Ed's mom doesn't treat him the best either. She treats him with a lot of dis respect. She started to act a little different towards him when she saw him in the newspaper stopping the robber but quickly went back to treating him bad when he forgot to get her the coffee table she asked him to pick up. I don't think she'll ever permanently stop treating him bad since he had such potential for school and gave up on it. The doorman doesn't seem to be very important right now but I think something in the future will happen where the doorman ends up saving Ed. I say this because the way he is presented in the book it seems as if he's foreshadowing something.

Ed notices his friends are like his family but sometimes dont care about his problems, Ed's mom treats him how she wants and calls him names, she has no respect for him and shows no affection towards him. The doorman i think is an important element to the story cause he's important to the main character.

Robin hood project- Merisa Klinac

My good dead was making chocolate chip cookies and giving them out to my next-door neighbors. While I was making the cookies and just thinking about my neighbor’s reaction I knew I was doing something generous. Once the warm and delicious cookies were done I bagged them so I can give them away. I went to my neighbors and seeing all their reactions made my day to know I made theirs. It made me feel good to know doing something so small could make someone so happy. Doing this small deed has motivated me to continue doing deeds in the future. I plan to do deeds all over just to see that I made someone’s day. I feel that if people around me are seeing me do good deeds for others then I can motivate them to also do good deeds. If this happens then in my own special way then I’ve slightly changed the world. J
