When Ed gets the ace of diamonds in the mail. He asks his friends about it but they all seem to not care except audrey. Marv tells him that he would not invest that much time into him. Richie tell Ed that he is too lazy to anything like that. That shows that his friends don't really think about him a lot. Ed starts separating himself from everyone else because he can only focus on the card. I don't see any connection to this because my friends care about me and the thing that concern me.
Ed should get new friends.
Eds siblings are more successful than him, even Ed feels like he has not accomplished anything. All his friends are basically just like ed they haven't really accomplished anything ether. Ed describes them in a negative way except audrey.Ed describes Marv as a friend you argue with a lot. Eds mom also argues with him and calls him dickhead ed. Ed even argues with his friends during the bank robbery. I think Ed will have better relations with his friends and his family after he completes the tasks given to him on the cards. When he is done with the cards he will have learned the morals of every task and apply it to his life.
I think the doorman is very important to the story. Ed cares about him a lot and has conversations with him even though the door man can't talk back. The doorman is smells so bad that people dont visit ed as much , but ed docent mind. I think ed prefers The doormans company over others. That show how much ed cares about him.
