I am the messenger blog #1 (Cynthia Martinez)
Ed learns that his friends are unreliable, when he receives the first ace he right away suspects that it could be Marv, Ritchie, or Audrey. When he decides to finally ask them if it was them they give him the answers he wasn't looking for except for Audrey. Their response were that they are to stupid or to lazy to do it. The only one who shows interest and gives him a clue is Audrey, she might not know the direct answer but she knows what it is about. At this point Ed realizes that his friends really don't care much for him because at the end they tell him to ignore the ace. This changes how Ed relates to them because he won't want to go to them for any kind of answers or advice. Yes i do see a correlation in how i see some of my friends not all of them because only a few of them are actually there for me and care about me and others act like i don't exist on less they need something from me. The relationship that Ed has with his family isn't even normal, his mom always talks down on him and compares him to the rest of his siblings on how they did better them him. Shes always insulting him unless she needs him for something. In my opinion i do not think that they will evolve because the mother seems like she is happy with herself and Ed really doesn't care. Yes i believe the doorman is an important element to the story because he once belong to Eds father and to Ed doorman is very important, he might see his father through the doorman and his father gives him the strength to survive the out comes of the situations.

I agree with you Cynthia, Ed's friends are unreliable and they've only let him down.
