Ed learned that his friend calls him only if they want to chill with him or play a game of cards. He also learned that his friend don't take him serious and always thinks he's playing whenever he saying something serious. They been knowing him for a long time and does not think he's capable of what's he talking about doing and they also threaten not add him to their plans or something he likes. For instant when Ed told Marv that he had to kill someone ,Marv did not care he just wanted Ed to come over so the can play a game of cards, but when Ed let him know that he was serious Marv threaten to remove Ed from their Annual Sledge soccer game.
Ed mom always talking to much and stressing everybody out. His father is quiet and does not say anything to anybody. His family was not that closed he is more closer to his friends.They hangout have fun and are still there for each other but non of his family members are there for him.
Yes I think that doorman is an important element to the story because Ed is always talking, feeding or hang with the doorman before he move on to his next assignment.Doorman was Ed father dog and Ed is taking care him since his dad died. Doorman is Ed best friend and more like a human to Ed and Doorman represent his dad that's why Ed still keep him and does not have a new dog even those doorman stink and the smell doe not comes of.
